Undefeated super featherweight Maureen Shea (8-0) of the Bronx, NY, begins a health and fitness segment that will become a part of the BronxNet program OPEN on Mondays, beginning February 5th. Maureen will host the segment, which will include useful tips on exercise and nutrition. BronxNet is inviting fight fans and Bronx residents to help name Maureen’s segment. Possible names include: Toe To Toe With Moe, Shea’s Corner, Mondays With Maureen, or Shea’s Day. Bronx residents should vote by calling (718) 960-1182 or by E-mailing: max@bronxnet.org, and fight fans can e-mail agreen009@yahoo.com.
OPEN is a live call-in television program, cablecast live on BRONXNET Channel 67, Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 10:00 AM, with repeat cablecasts each of those nights at 10:00 PM. The live show features in studio discussions with, and demonstrations by guest experts, as well as highlight stories produced on location.
BronxNet is an independent, not-for profit organization established in 1988 under the Cable Television Franchise Agreement between the City of New York and Cablevision of New York City. The station provides local television by the people of the Bronx, for the people of the Bronx. BronxNet programs four channels, 67, 68, 69 and 70 on the Cablevision system, and programming is cablecast to over 270,000 Bronx households. These four channels feature BronxNet produced shows, as well as those created by community access producers.
